BarCamp

BarCamp Stanford was held on the anniversary of the original Barcamp which had sparked a worldwide movement. I recorded some of the talks at Barcamp and uploaded them to Google video.

Here they are …

Jordan Sissel talks about how to communicate securely and access web sites forbidden by your system administrator using putty.

Tantek Celik talks about microformats.

Chris Messina talks about coworking

Why

I spent a couple of years of my life in Las Cruces, New Mexico. During those years I would eagerly read up blog posts about the various geek meetings, camps and talks that happen in the Bay Area. Now that I am in the Bay Area I guess I can attend these talks and blog about them. So maybe other souls who are lost in the non tech wilderness in the middle of nowhere will get to hear about them. I also plan to record these events and put the videos up.
